BD is seeking a Staff Engineer for New Product Development focused on TPE industrialization and manufacturing scale‑up in Franklin Lakes, NJ. The position requires advanced polymer/elastomer experience, DOE, process validation, and strong collaboration with R&D, Operations, and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Advanced technical experience in polymer or elastomer process development and manufacturing scale‑up.
• Demonstrated experience applying DOE and engineering statistics to manufacturing or product‑development problems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with suppliers and cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead industrialization of primary and backup TPE formulations from lab to production scale.
• Develop scale‑up strategies for compounding, molding, finishing, sterilization, packaging and storage.
• Establish robust manufacturing process windows and document relationships between formulation, processing and performance.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Regulatory Affairs and suppliers to ensure successful tech transfer and process validation.
