Superluminal Medicines is seeking a Staff Engineer to design and build software that moves experimental data through our platform. You will own critical systems at the intersection of software, scientific data, and research operations, including data ingestion, registration, and workflow integrations.

The role demands high ownership: architect, implement, and collaborate with scientists to solve complex problems, while advancing scalable, observable systems in a modern drug discovery setting.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in software/CS.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience creating and operating production systems.
• 3+ years of Python experience designing maintainable software.
• Experience integrating data across APIs, databases, files, and third-party platforms.
• Experience with containers and modern deployment with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Experience designing scalable software architecture and REST APIs.
• Experience with GCP and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience leading SQL queries and production data pipelines.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and incident handling.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and operate production software for scientific data and wet lab workflows.
• Own architecture for compound registration, data ingestion, validation, transformation, publishing.
• Build reliable integrations across apps, APIs, cloud services, and databases.
• Develop backend services, data pipelines, internal apps used by scientists.
• Create observable, testable, resilient systems for growing data volumes.
• Collaborate with scientists to translate workflows into technical solutions.
• Improve data quality and reliability with validation, testing, and monitoring.
• Establish strong engineering practices around code quality, CI/CD, and deployment.
