Zusammenfassung

Superluminal Medicines is seeking a Staff Engineer for Research Informatics and AI to design and build critical software systems that move experimental data from wet labs into the data platform. You will own architecture, implement data ingestion/registration, and integrate internal apps and cloud services.

The role emphasizes high ownership, collaboration with scientists, and building scalable, observable systems in a modern drug discovery environment.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building/operating production systems.
• 3+ years of Python experience designing maintainable software.
• Experience integrating data across APIs, databases, files, async processes, and third-party platforms.
• Experience with containers and modern deployment patterns using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience designing scalable software architecture and making technical design decisions
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
• Experience developing production systems on Google Cloud Platform and cloud-native architecture.
• Experience leading SQL queries, relational data models, and production data pipelines/workflows.
• Experience implementing automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, logging, and incident troubleshooting.

Aufgaben

• Design, build, and operate production software systems supporting scientific data and wet lab workflows.
• Own architecture/implementation of compound registration, data ingestion, validation, transformation, and publishing.
• Build reliable integrations across internal apps, APIs, cloud services, databases, and third-party platforms.
• Develop backend services, data pipelines, and internal apps used by scientists and research teams.
• Design observable, testable, resilient, maintainable systems as data volumes grow.
• Work with scientists to translate workflows into clear technical solutions.
• Improve data quality and system reliability via validation, testing, monitoring, interfaces.
• Establish engineering practices around code quality, CI/CD, deployment, and ownership.
