Job summary

Amazon Science's Frontier AI & Robotics team is seeking engineers to design and implement software-driven test and validation frameworks for next-generation robotic subsystems. You will own automated test software for actuators, sensors, and control interfaces, while validating hardware-in-the-loop environments and data pipelines.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience developing test automation software for electromechanical or robotic systems.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or equivalent programming languages for test automation and data acquisition.
• Hands-on hardware bring-up and SW/HW integration experience.
• Knowledge of test instrumentation and measurement devices.
• Understanding of electromechanical systems including power distribution and CAN/EtherCAT/RS-485.
• Experience developing automated test protocols, frameworks, and documentation.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD for test software.

Responsibilities

• Test Infrastructure Development - Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for engineering validation and manufacturing test of robotic systems.
• Software Integration & Automation - Develop test automation software in Python, C++, or equivalent to exercise actuators, sensors, and interfaces.
• Hardware Bring-Up & SW/HW Integration - Perform hardware bring-up and debug across the stack from hardware to test software.
• Engineering Validation & Mfg Test - Create and execute test protocols for functional validation and regression testing.
• Debugging & Failure Analysis - Troubleshoot and root-cause issues using software diagnostics and bench instrumentation.
• Data Analysis & Reporting - Build data pipelines and dashboards for test results and trends.
• Technical Documentation - Write test plans, procedures, and troubleshooting guides; maintain standards.
• Lab Operations Support - Maintain lab equipment, inventory, and safety/compliance.
