Judi Health in New York, Denver, and Charlotte seeks a Staff Engineer to lead the Realtime & Streaming platform within Architecture. You will design, build, and own WAL-based replication and event streaming, balancing latency and correctness for multiple consumers.

You will mentor senior engineers, drive migration from batch to streaming, and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to ensure uptime.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of production engineering experience in realtime data infrastructure.
• Experience designing WAL-based replication and CDC frameworks at scale.
• Strong understanding of event streaming correctness and delivery guarantees.
• Experience leading batch-to-streaming migrations without disrupting consumers.
• Fluency in a systems-language (Rust/Go/C/C++) for high-throughput components.
• Track record of leading cross-team technical initiatives with durable documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication to guide the organization.
• Comfort operating with ambiguity and handling 24/7 production on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate WAL replication and event streaming platform for cache invalidation, data warehouse synchronization, and CDC consumers.
• Own the full lifecycle of the streaming platform—from topology design to operational recovery and post-incident reviews.
• Define performance and correctness contracts between streaming platform and dependent services.
• Lead migration of batch-driven data warehouse synchronization to a unified WAL-based pipeline.
• Promote event-driven design practices and provide architectural guidance across engineering teams.
• Set the technical bar through design reviews, code reviews, and mentoring of senior engineers.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for continuous operational support.
