Job summary

Judi Health is building a scalable data infrastructure with a focus on real‑time event streaming and WAL‑based replication. As Staff Engineer in Architecture, you will influence standards, patterns, and infrastructure used by multiple engineering teams.

You will own the streaming platform's delivery guarantees, latency requirements, and cross‑team collaboration, guiding major migrations and architectural decisions across the organization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of production engineering experience in realtime data infrastructure and event streaming systems.
• Experience with WAL‑based or log‑structured replication systems and CDC frameworks at scale.
• Understanding of ordering guarantees, at‑least‑once vs exactly‑once delivery, idempotency, and downstream propagation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate the WAL replication and event streaming platform for cache invalidation, data warehouse synchronization, and CDC consumers.
• Own the full lifecycle of the streaming platform, including topology, delivery guarantees, and post‑incident reviews.
• Define performance and correctness contracts between the streaming platform and dependent services.
• Lead migration of batch‑driven data warehouse synchronization to a unified WAL‑based replication pipeline with an open table format.
• Promote event‑driven design best practices and provide architectural guidance.
• Set technical standards for the Realtime & Streaming team through reviews and mentoring.
• Participate in a 24/7 on‑call rotation for operational support.
