Qualifications

• 10+ years of production engineering with deep specialization in distributed systems and caching infrastructure.
• Experience operating distributed caching systems at cloud scale (Redis/Valkey, Memcached) with cluster topology, eviction, replication and failure recovery.
• Experience with multi-tenancy and operational complexity of shared caching across many workloads.
• Deep understanding of cache consistency and failure modes at scale and appropriate invalidation strategies.
• Familiarity with cache replacement algorithms beyond LRU (e.g., LFU, ARC) and multi-tier architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate the caching infrastructure that serves as the data access layer for a complex domain model in healthcare.
• Own the full lifecycle of cache design, from eviction policy to invalidation architecture and recovery.
• Define and own performance and correctness contracts between the caching layer and dependent services.
• Drive adoption of caching best practices across engineering and build shared libraries.
• Diagnose and resolve correctness, performance, and stability issues in the caching layer, including incident response.
• Mentor senior engineers and contribute architectural guidance across teams.
