Job summary

Judi Health is hiring a Staff Engineer in Architecture to lead the WAL-based realtime streaming platform. You will own the end-to-end streaming system, define contracts, and guide cross-team migrations across the platform, analytics, and data consumers.

You will mentor engineers and enforce on-call readiness in a 24/7 production environment. The role emphasizes building scalable, correct event-driven infrastructure, maintaining latency and ordering guarantees, and driving architectural standards

Qualifications

• 10+ years of production engineering experience in realtime data infra and event streaming.
• Experience designing and operating WAL-based or log-structured replication systems at production scale.
• Understanding of event streaming correctness and delivery semantics.
• Experience leading batch-to-streaming migrations without disrupting consumers.
• Fluency in systems-level languages (Rust, Go, or C/C++).
• Track record of cross-team technical initiatives and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate the WAL replication and event streaming platform for platform consumers.
• Own the full lifecycle of the streaming platform including topology, delivery guarantees, and recovery.
• Define performance and correctness contracts between streaming and dependent services.
• Lead migration of batch-driven synchronization to a unified WAL-based realtime pipeline.
• Promote event-driven design across engineering and provide architectural guidance.
• Set technical standards for the Realtime & Streaming team and mentor senior engineers.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for incident response.
