Dexcom is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead the evolution of our product development operating system within the Innovation Center. As a highly influential individual contributor, you will drive enterprise-wide improvements to how products are developed, built, transferred to manufacturing, and commercialized.

You will partner across R&D, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Program Management to establish scalable engineering processes, governance, and best practices

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with extensive experience.
Advanced degrees preferred for higher responsibility roles.
Experience applying engineering systems and process improvements.

Responsibilities

Develop and continuously improve the organization's business processes from product development concept through commercial launch.
Establish standardized processes, governance, and engineering best practices across the Innovation Center.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce development cycle time while improving product quality and manufacturing readiness.
Identify systemic inefficiencies and implement scalable process improvements throughout the site.
Lead initiatives that improve the transition of products from R&D into Operations and high-volume manufacturing.
Develop standardized design transfer methodologies, deliverables, and readiness assessments.
Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to improve manufacturability early in product development.

We are seeking a Staff Engineer to lead the evolution of our product development operating system within our Innovation Center. As a highly influential individual contributor, you will drive enterprise-wide improvements to how products are developed, built, transferred to manufacturing, and commercialized.

Partnering across R&D, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Program Management, you will establish scalable engineering processes, governance, and best practices that improve development speed, product quality, manufacturing readiness, and organizational capability.

Business Process Transformation & Product Development Excellence

Develop and continuously improve the organization's business processes from product development concept through commercial launch.

Lead initiatives that improve the transition of products from R&D into Operations and high-volume manufacturing.

Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to improve manufacturability early in product development.
Improve collaboration between engineering and operations to minimize post-transfer engineering changes and minimize non-conformances.

Experience and Education Requirements:

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 8-12 years related experience or Master’s degree and 5-7 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 2-4 years of experience.
