Job summary

Arm-Group is seeking a Staff Engineer to join our Solid Waste practice in Columbia, MD. You will collaborate with multi-disciplined engineers, scientists, PMs, CAD designers, and staff to service client needs across solid waste management, environmental services, geotechnical engineering, water resources, and related areas.

You will prepare drawings and reports, observe field work, perform calculations, develop environmental solutions, and communicate with project teams to meet deliverables.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil, Environmental, or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and update design drawings and investigation reports.
• Observe and monitor field work to analyze possible problems.
• Perform and/or check technical calculations.
• Use civil and environmental engineering principles to develop solutions to environmental problems.
• Prepare technical reports, letters, emails, permit applications, etc. for projects.
• Collaborate with team members to meet deliverables and gain experience.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other team members.
• Pro-actively recognize conditions and problems and seek guidance when needed.
