Job summary

ARM Group LLC is seeking a Senior Landfill/Solid Waste Engineer to lead design, permitting, and project management for solid waste clients. The role involves client relationships, proposals, and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams across our Ashland, VA or Cary, NC offices.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of solid waste experience, a P.E. license, and strong communication, leadership, and economic budgeting skills. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity with collaborative growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering.
• P.E. registration is required.
• 8+ years of solid waste engineering experience including design, permitting, and project management.
• Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate development, design and permitting of multiple projects.
• Prepare designs and permit applications for regulatory approvals.
• Maintain schedules, develop timelines, and manage resources to meet budgets.
• Act as the primary client contact and stakeholder liaison.
• Assess and mitigate project risks and prepare technical documents.
