Job summary

ARM Group LLC is seeking a self-driven Senior Landfill/Solid Waste Engineer to lead the design, permitting, and project management of solid waste facilities. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver projects on time and within budget. The role requires a P.E.

license and 8+ years of solid waste experience, with strong communication and leadership skills. Office locations include Ashland, VA or Cary, NC, offering opportunities to mentor junior staff and drive client

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering and P.E. registration.
• 8+ years of Solid Waste engineering experience including design, permitting, operations support, and construction oversight.
• Strong communication, public speaking, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage development, design and permitting of multiple projects.
• Prepare designs and permit applications for regulatory approvals.
• Maintain schedules, project timelines, and manage subcontractors, people and materials.
• Act as the main client liaison and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Assess and mitigate project risks prior to detailed engineering.
• Prepare models and technical documents for design findings.
• Support business development with detailed technical proposals.
• Perform calculations and prepare project specifications.
• Prepare reports and client communications.
• Mentor junior staff and grow the team.
