Job summary

b.well is hiring a Staff Engineer for Healthcare Data to lead ingestion, transformation, and delivery of health data at scale on a FHIR-based platform. You will own the architecture of end-to-end pipelines, drive data quality and conformance, and advance AI-native tooling and secure engineering practices.

Collaborating across teams, you will set standards for performance, reliability, and PHI-safe delivery while mentoring engineers and shaping secure, scalable health-data solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering or health IT with staff-level ownership.
• Proven experience building large-scale health-data pipelines end-to-end.
• Experience defining frameworks and standards that accelerate teams.
• AI-native engineer familiar with coding agents and reusable AI skills.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction for ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
• Own end-to-end architecture of large-scale pipelines transforming raw data to FHIR.
• Diagnose performance bottlenecks and optimize distributed processing.
• Build automated testing and validation for data quality and FHIR conformance.
