Job summary

Akuity is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead and shape the SaaS platform that powers Argo CD-based workflows for a global developer community. You will set technical direction, mentor engineers, and drive architectural decisions across complex, distributed systems.

You will develop in Go on the server side, collaborate with product and design, and ensure the platform remains scalable and developer-friendly as it rapidly grows. This is a high-impact, fully remote role with global reach.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of development experience.
• 4+ years of Go server-side development.
• Experience building Kubernetes controllers or operators at scale in AWS, GCP, Azure, or On-prem.
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of systems design, API design, and infrastructure.
• Proven ability to influence technical decisions across teams and work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and improve Akuity’s SaaS platform.
• Develop in Go on the server-side.
• Collaborate with designers and engineers to deliver features that remove infrastructure headaches for users.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across complex, high-impact projects.
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices.
• Ensure the platform remains scalable and developer-friendly as it grows.
