Job summary

PAR Technology is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and support our AWS cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes-based platform. You will focus on reliability, scalability, security, observability, and deployment automation across production environments.

You will operate AWS EKS clusters, manage GitOps deployments with Argo CD and Helm, and build automation tooling in Python to support high-availability SaaS services for customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps or SRE, cloud-focused role.
• Strong hands-on AWS experience.
• Production Kubernetes experience, preferably EKS.
• Infrastructure as Code experience (OpenTofu, Terraform).
• GitOps workflows with Argo CD and Helm.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain AWS infrastructure using OpenTofu.
• Operate Kubernetes workloads on Amazon EKS.
• Manage GitOps deployments with Argo CD and Helm.
• Develop automation and tooling with Python and scripting.
• Support AWS services including EKS, Aurora PostgreSQL, Redis, and MQ.
• Implement monitoring with Datadog and observability dashboards.
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident response.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment reliability.
• Collaborate with security to enhance cloud security.
