BorgWarner Bellwood facility seeks a technical leader to drive complex friction technology projects from concept through production, coordinating design, testing and process development.

The role requires strong collaboration with global engineering teams, suppliers, and customers, guiding product definitions, PPAP processes, and reliability analyses to enable continual improvement and cost reduction.

Experience in DFMEA/SFMEA, APQP, and advanced manufacturing methods is essential.

Mansioni

• Generates competitive design concepts for new products
• Creates and maintains program plans using Microsoft Project
• Completes work in a timely manner and reports results
• Prepares and presents technical reports with conclusions and recommendations
• Prepares PPAP reports and supports APQP processes
• Directs product testing through prototype requests, test requests, analysis of results, and test reports
• Evaluates, analyzes and initiates corrective actions relative to design and performance
• Performs failure analysis and leads 8D or 5P problem-solving
• Maintains and improves manufacturing methods related to friction materials and processes
• Collaborates with global engineering teams, vendors, and customers to ensure manufacturability and product success
• Guides customer reviews on product and project status and supports validation with customers
