Sardine is seeking a Staff/Lead Architect to serve as the technical steward for Consumer and Business Fraud platforms. You will drive strategy, optimize critical infrastructure, and guide engineers across teams in real-time data processing at scale.

The role emphasizes architecture design, reliability, observability, and developer velocity within a remote-first culture and multi-cloud environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering at Staff/Lead Architect level.
• Experience building highly available distributed systems with ultra-low latency.
• Hands-on experience with stream processing frameworks in production.

Responsibilities

• Act as overarching technical leader for multiple teams, unifying platform strategy.
• Architect, design, and optimize ultra-low-latency backend services and a high-throughput rules engine.
• Design data access patterns, partitioning strategies, and caching across multi-cloud databases.
• Develop pipelines for massive parallel real-time feature computations.
• Mentor engineers and uphold high technical standards from conception to delivery.
