Job summary

Sardine is hiring a Senior Data/ML Engineer to own the data and ML foundation powering compliance decisions, from data arrival to feature creation and model production. You will define end-to-end pipelines and push architectural direction for next-gen features.

You will work with data scientists, backend engineers, and fraud analysts to ship robust ML systems, improve feature correctness, and scale KYC/AML signals in a secure, compliant environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building production data and ML systems with ownership of pipeline and model components.
• Deep Python and SQL with fluency in distributed processing (Spark/Beam/Flink).
• Hands-on cloud data stack experience (GCP preferred) with Docker & Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Own data ingestion layer with streaming and batch pipelines.
• Evolve feature platform with Chronon definitions for streaming and batch.
• Establish feature correctness, tests, and drift monitoring.
• Productionize fraud/identity ML models with training pipelines and retraining machinery.
• Engineer risk signals across KYC, AML, and identity domains.
