LaunchDarkly is seeking a Staff Engineer on the Experimentation team to design and build the statistical engine and warehouse-native analysis pipelines powering data-driven decisions across customers' data warehouses such as Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift and BigQuery.

You will lead end-to-end system design, mentor engineers, and drive cross-functional initiatives with product, design, and data science, shaping platform direction with a strong emphasis on statistical rigor.

Formación

• 10+ years building large-scale experimentation platforms or data-intensive backend services.
• Applied-statistics knowledge: hypothesis testing, sequential analysis, variance reduction, power analysis.
• Experience with adaptive experimentation ML: contextual bandits, Bayesian optimization, RL-based allocation.
• Track record designing warehouse-agnostic systems across Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery.

Responsabilidades

• Build the experimentation statistical engine with hypothesis testing, sequential analysis, variance reduction, and power analysis.
• Design warehouse-native experimentation inside customer warehouses (Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery).
• Lead adaptive experimentation including contextual bandits and Bayesian optimization.
• Drive the platform roadmap with product, design, and data science teams.
• Collaborate with Warehouse Integrations, SDK, Platform, and Data Science teams.
• Mentor engineers and raise the team's bar for statistical rigor and system design.
• Own operational excellence — monitoring, observability, and on-call.
