Job summary

Stripe is seeking a Staff Engineer for the Core Change Management team, focused on the Service Deployments platform. You will shape the end-to-end deployment experience, drive architecturally significant changes, and collaborate across teams to reduce production incidents and improve developer velocity.

You will own complex, multi-team infra initiatives, lead migrations to containerized deployments, extend anomaly detection, and help define safety standards for deployment across Stripe's global

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and shipping production infrastructure systems at scale.
• Proven ability to lead large, ambiguous projects end-to-end across multiple teams.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, deployment orchestration, and reliability engineering.
• Hands-on Kubernetes and container-based deployments at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of complex infrastructure initiatives from design to production.
• Architect evolution of the deployment platform, including multi-service pipelines and canary patterns.
• Extend deployment anomaly detection and improve traffic-shift safety tooling.
• Lead fleet migration from host-based to containerized deployments with minimal downtime.
• Drive reliability, incident response, and operational excellence across systems.
• Design and implement deployment event infrastructure and observability contracts.
• Collaborate across Change Management teams on orchestration, IAM, and policy tooling.
• Set technical direction, review critical designs, and mentor senior engineers.
