Job summary

Stripe is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to work with Product & Engineering to shape features beyond standard Stripe integrations. You may build standalone apps deployed in user environments, augmenting teams to deliver faster connections to Stripe.

This new team will drive direction, own projects, and collaborate with clients and Stripe stakeholders to deliver resilient, scalable solutions across accounts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional, hands-on full-stack development experience with multiple languages.
• Experience building scalable backend infrastructure and systems.
• Ability to design, build and deploy production applications.
• Rapid prototyping skills while maintaining quality.
• Familiarity with containerized apps and OO programming.
• Strong problem-solving and understanding of product/business context.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect robust technical solutions aligned with customer needs.
• Build and deploy production applications combining business logic with Stripe best practices.
• Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders bridging technical teams and executives.
• Lead the direction of the Forward Deployed Engineering arm and contribute to projects.
• Engage with users to understand challenges and co-develop solutions.
• Contribute tooling and best practices to scale across accounts.
