You will guide a team toward domain-oriented data design while strengthening governance, observability, and modern analytics capabilities in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of production data engineering/architecture experience.
• Experience with AI agents for multi-step tasks such as model building and debugging.
• Deep expertise in dbt and Snowflake, including project structure and performance management.
• Experience transitioning teams from source-shaped to domain-oriented data models.
• Established data quality and observability practices that stakeholders trust.
• Leadership in mentoring engineers and managing projects.

For our client, we are seeking a Data Platform Lead to join the team of a leader in the Hospitality & Recreation space.

This role will own the company’s data platform strategy and architecture, with a strong focus on building reliable, trusted data foundations that support better business decisions. You will partner closely with product engineering and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable models, consistent metrics, and safe self-service analytics. The position also calls for guiding a team through a shift toward domain-oriented data design while strengthening governance, observability, and modern analytics capabilities.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $180,000 – $200,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Own the data platform from architecture through decision-making support
