Job summary

SingleStore is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead Flow's end-to-end data path from source systems through migration engines, APIs, Helios, and the customer experience. This hands-on IC role requires broad technical influence and ownership of major architectural decisions.

You will shape design, testing, observability, and operational excellence while mentoring engineers and raising the technical bar for reliability and data correctness across migrations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience in production systems.
• Expert-level Java, JDBC, SQL with MySQL/PostgreSQL experience.
• Cloud-native development, distributed systems, observability, and APIs.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading architecture initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for Flow's data path and migration engines.
• Lead architecture decisions across Flow APIs and Helios integration.
• Design and deliver production-quality software while staying hands-on.
• Improve reliability, data consistency, and performance.
• Mentor engineers and perform design/code reviews.
