Job summary

SingleStore is seeking a Staff or Principal Software Engineer to drive the architecture, reliability, and scaling of the SingleStore Helios managed cloud offering. You will lead multi-cloud SaaS control and data planes, manage large Kubernetes deployments across hyperscalers, and collaborate with AI Platform initiatives.

You will balance greenfield work with hands‑on systems programming and operational resilience, dedicating 10–20% of time to Tier‑3 production escalations to root-cause complex

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of professional software engineering experience designing, deploying, and operating distributed enterprise SaaS platforms at scale.
• Deep Kubernetes expertise with CRDs, custom controllers, and service mesh knowledge.
• Strong proficiency in Go and Python with emphasis on concurrent programming and distributed state management.
• Cloud networking literacy including Transit Gateways, PrivateLink, CIDR planning and load balancing.
• Familiarity with AI platform compute, caching, and vector data flows for real‑time pipelines.
• Proven ability to debug complex production issues across network, memory, and distributed consensus.
• Excellent written and oral communication with cross‑team alignment capability.

Responsibilities

• Architect Distributed SaaS infrastructure and scale multi-tenant Kubernetes operators and controllers.
• Write resilient backend services and control planes in Go and Python.
• Lead cross‑cloud networking design across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
