Job summary

Flowcode is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to grow and build the core platform that powers Flowcode 2 at scale. You will lead end-to-end design and deployment of scalable services, balancing backend architecture with practical execution in a fast-moving startup.

You will drive technical roadmaps, mentor engineers, and collaborate across product, design, and data teams to deliver incremental, high-impact features with a focus on correctness, observability, and performance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience building and operating production-grade systems.
• Deep expertise in building high-performance, concurrent services.
• Proven experience designing and scaling distributed systems and service-oriented architectures.
• Strong understanding of API design, data modeling, and consistency tradeoffs.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or similar) and modern deployment patterns (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Commitment to code quality with design patterns, testing, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Own critical systems end-to-end, including design, implementation and deployment.
• Hands on designing, building, and maintaining scalable features across a modern front-end framework and backend services.
• Architect for growth — guide your pod’s technical roadmap and established engineering best practices.
• Collaborate across teams with product, design, and data to deliver features quickly and iteratively.
• Mentor and guide senior engineers, raising the bar for technical execution and system design.
