Shield AI is seeking a senior mechanical engineer to own the design of a new battery pack from concept through production. You will drive performance, optimize size and weight, and shape reliability for production handoff.

Qualifications

Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required.
5+ years of relevant experience.
Experience delivering a battery product to market is required.
Strong fundamentals in mechanics, thermal design, and electronics.

Responsibilities

Own design responsibility of a new battery pack from concept through production.
Drive performance while managing size, weight, manufacturing and reliability.
Hands-on prototyping, testing, qualification, and handoff to production.
Define requirements, specifications, and 2D drawings; perform root cause analyses.
Lead a cross-functional team to execute top-level architecture; provide mentorship and design review.
