Shield AI is seeking a mechanical engineer to own the design of a new battery pack from concept through production. You will drive performance while balancing size, weight, manufacturability, and reliability, and you will conduct hands-on prototyping, testing, and handoff to production.

The role requires a strong foundation in mechanics, thermal design, and electronics, plus CAD modeling and experience with manufacturing processes.

• Own design responsibility of a new battery pack, from concept through production.

• Define requirements, specifications, assembly drawings, 2D drawings.
• Root cause failures and production problems.
• Drive a cross-functional team to execute the top-level architecture.
• Provide mentorship, design review, and program execution leadership.
