Job summary

Rivian is seeking an experienced engineer to advance method development, process automation and production release across vehicle lines. You will architect and deploy automation solutions, develop training materials, and collaborate with PLM/IT, manufacturing, and engineering teams to optimize end-to-end design efficiency.

Required: 5+ years in automotive design/release, Catia/Enovia proficiency, and strong communication. This full-time role is based in Southern California.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in engineering design and release.
• Experience with automotive design and development processes.
• Experience in method and process development and training.
• Production part release experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall process for new method identification and development across vehicle commodities.
• Develop, test and implement knowledge and rule-based design automations.
• Architect and deploy automations.
• Create and deliver training material.
• Interface with PLM, IT, Manufacturing and Engineering for end-to-end efficiency.
• Develop efficiencies for geometry progression and CAD workflows (Catia).
• Manage information in Enovia PLM and Catia V6; meet milestone geometry requirements.
• Develop templates and knowledge patterns for automations.
• Communicate with Studio, Packaging, Advanced Engineering, Manufacturing and Suppliers.
