CVS Health in the United States seeks a Staff Engineer to lead the architecture, development, and scaling of core applications, bridging backend data systems, emerging AI capabilities, and intuitive frontend experiences.

You will be a hands-on technical leader responsible for designing dashboards, building resilient microservices, and orchestrating integrations with diverse data objects and third‑party systems.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience focused on full-stack development and scalable applications.
• Mastery of modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks and data visualization libraries.
• Deep expertise in server-side languages and designing scalable microservices.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and integrating complex data feeds.
• Hands-on AI model/API integration and familiarity with AI orchestration tools.
• Public cloud expertise and strong CI/CD, containerization, and IaC skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to translate requirements into technical designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and development of scalable web applications from frontend to backend.
• Architect and implement dashboards and user interfaces surface complex data insights.
• Design secure APIs and data integration layers; connect diverse data objects and third parties.
• Champion AI/ML integration and autonomous feature development within products.
• Advance orchestration, monitoring, and self-service capabilities across systems.
• Drive DevOps and cloud infrastructure; oversee CI/CD, containers, and IaC.
• Mentor engineers, establish standards, and shape the technical roadmap.
