Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead the architecture, development, and scaling of core applications. You will bridge backend data systems, emerging AI capabilities, and intuitive frontend experiences, designing rich dashboards and resilient microservices.

As a hands-on leader, you'll champion DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and AI-powered features, guiding teams and shaping the technical roadmap across product and platform domains.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering with a focus on full-stack development, architecture, and scalable apps.
• Frontend mastery with modern JS/TS frameworks and data visualization libraries (D3.js, Recharts, Highcharts).
• Backend & API proficiency with scalable microservices and event-driven architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design, architecture, and development of highly scalable web applications from frontends to backend services.
• Architect and implement rich dashboards and UIs surfacing complex data insights.
• Design secure APIs and integration layers with diverse data objects, databases and third-party systems.
• Champion AI/ML integration into core products and automate workflows with intelligent features.
• Build and enhance orchestration and MFT automations with proactive monitoring and self-service capabilities.
• Drive CI/CD, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and IaC for high availability and rapid releases.
• Mentor frontend, backend, and DevOps engineers; set standards and shape the technical roadmap.
