Job summary

A2Z Sync, Inc. in Denver, CO (hybrid, 2 days/week in office) or US-wide remote, seeks a senior software engineer to build and operate agentic AI systems, improve security posture, and drive platform modernization.

You will own production monitoring, release governance, and cross-team engineering standards. Must have extensive experience in agentic/LLM development, AWS serverless, and strong SRE practices, with a focus on secure, reliable delivery and progressive deployment across a multi-tenant

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, incl. 2+ years at a Senior or Staff level.
• Hands-on agentic / LLM development with AWS Bedrock, MCP, LangChain.
• Strong AWS serverless experience (Lambda, EventBridge, DynamoDB, etc.).
• Security-minded engineering with vulnerability management.
• SRE practices: observability, SLOs, on-call, incident response.
• CI/CD and release management with quality gates and progressive delivery.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, TypeScript and ability to read PHP.
• Track record of setting standards and enforcing them across teams.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on agentic development and operation of AI systems daily.
• Drive adoption of agent-assisted development across the org.
• Manage security vulnerabilities and keep frameworks up to date.
• Modernize platforms by retiring legacy patterns and adopting new tech.
• Own production monitoring, SRE, SLOs, and incident response.
• Standardize third-party integration observability and anomaly detection.
• Maintain on-call documentation and runbooks for quick triage.
• Govern release processes with CI/CD gates and rollback criteria.
• Set and enforce engineering standards across teams.
• Collaborate across orgs to raise technical and security bars.
