Job Description

This role is both technical and client-facing, suitable for someone currently working in product design for a manufacturer of process or industrial equipment, or within a certification body or test laboratory. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, pragmatic, thorough, and enjoys working as part of a small, growing team. Experience is preferred, but we are open to discussing opportunities with newly qualified candidates.

Senior roles may include responsibilities such as reviewing draft reports and mentoring trainee certification engineers.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assessing products designed to meet national, regional, and international standards.
• Preparing technical reports, technical files, and certificates.
• Developing test plans and collaborating with test engineers to conduct tests accurately and safely.
• Occasionally conducting tests at Eurofins labs or at customer sites.
• Participating in technical advice meetings with clients.
• Working with project engineers to ensure proper and safe testing procedures.
• Preparing test reports.
• Occasional travel domestically or internationally.
• Preparing quotations in partnership with the sales team.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

• Extensive experience with standards such as UL/CSA/IEC/EN 60950-1, 62368-1, 61010-1, 60355-1, 60745-1, 60601-1, and 62841.
• Experience with hazardous locations standards, including UL/CSA/IEC/EN 60079 series, UL 1203, UL 121201.
• Electrical and mechanical testing experience, ideally to UL/CSA/IEC/EN standards listed above.
• Product safety experience from an NRTL, test lab, or manufacturer.
• An engineering educational background.

Additional Information
