Job Description

This role combines technical expertise with client interaction. It is suitable for someone currently working in product design for manufacturing, or within a certification body or testing laboratory. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, pragmatic, thorough, and enjoys working in a small, growing team. Experience is preferred but open to newly qualified candidates. Senior positions may involve reviewing draft reports and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

1. Assess products against national, regional, and international standards.
2. Prepare technical reports, files, and certificates.
3. Develop test plans and collaborate with test engineers to perform tests safely and correctly.
4. Conduct tests at Eurofins labs or at customer sites when needed.
5. Engage in technical discussions with clients.
6. Coordinate with project engineers to ensure proper testing procedures.
7. Write test reports.
8. Travel domestically and internationally on occasion.
9. Assist in preparing quotations with the sales team.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of standards like UL/CSA/IEC/EN 60950-1, 62368-1, 61010-1, 60355-1, 60745-1, 60601-1, and 62841.
• Experience with hazardous locations standards such as UL/CSA/IEC/EN 60079 series, UL 1203, UL 121201.
• Background in electrical and mechanical testing to relevant standards.
• Product safety experience from an NRTL, testing lab, or manufacturing environment.
• Engineering educational background.

Additional Information
