Description: Veris Inc., a division of Armstrong International, is seeking an experienced Engineer in Frederick, Colorado. The role involves product development, testing, customer support, budget management, KPI creation, manufacturing support, and collaboration with the sales team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working in a small team and interfacing with management and other divisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Product development of flow measurement products
- Manage projects and support the sales team as needed
- Process change orders for design improvements and cost reductions
- Familiarity with ASME BPV design codes
- Create and maintain engineering and sales drawings using SolidWorks
- Perform design analysis using SolidWorks CFD and FEA software
- Review and create designs, technical documents, test procedures, work instructions
- Use ERP system for part numbers, assemblies, and BOMs
- Support special order requests and manufacturing processes
- Assist in product approvals (FM, PED, ATEX, CRN, etc.)
- Utilize in-house 3D printing resources
- Manage flow and QA testing activities
- Participate in root cause/corrective action activities
- Promote Armstrong Culture and core values
- Design for manufacturing and assembly
- Identify development/training opportunities
- Participate in training programs and initiatives
- Work within ISO 9001 quality system

Education and Experience
- Experience in the Flow Measurement Industry
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent
- 3-5 years in flow-related testing or product development
- 2-3 years in program/project management
- Experience in ISO 9001 environment
- Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks or others)
- CFD analysis experience
- Flow meter testing/calibration experience
- Experience with product data management and ERP systems
- Knowledge of ASME BPV design codes
- Manufacturing engineering experience, including welding and machining
