Job summary

Archer in San Jose, CA seeks a Staff Embedded Software Engineer for the Charge Control Unit (CCU) to lead architectural design, embedded development, and verification of safety-critical software. You will interface with high-voltage components and guide DO-178C/DO-326A compliance while supporting FAA audits.

You will mentor junior engineers and drive robust software development and verification processes to ensure aircraft safety and reliability in a cutting-edge aerospace program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics.
• 5+ years of embedded software design and development experience in safety-critical systems.
• Experience with RTOS, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and CAN/SPI/I2C communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design, embedded development, and verification of safety-critical software for the CCU.
• Interface embedded software with high-voltage hardware and analog/digital circuitry.
• Serve as Certification Authority for DO-178C/DO-326A compliance and FAA audits.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct final reviews.
