Job summary

Tarana Wireless Inc. is seeking a Staff Embedded Software Engineer to build and maintain a stable platform for ngFWA products. You’ll collaborate across hardware, firmware, software, and product management to design, implement, and validate new features, focusing on reliable, high‑performance embedded systems.

You will lead critical features end‑to‑end, guiding design decisions, debugging complex issues, and driving quality improvements in a fast‑paced, small‑team environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science/Engineering (MS preferred) or equivalent industry experience.
• Expert knowledge of Linux/RTOS platform development in modern multi‑core ARM embedded systems.
• 9+ years of C/C++ embedded systems development experience.
• Technical leadership with ownership of large features from conception to delivery.
• Ability to write scripts and automate tasks with Python and Bash.
• Hands‑on with cross‑compilation toolchains targeting embedded Linux.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Hardware, Firmware, Software Engineers and PMs to design, develop, integrate and test new features.
• Provide platform software expertise to application developers for a stable, high‑performance product.
• Work in the lab to validate functionality, debug issues, and automate tests.
