Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Palmdale, CA, is seeking a Staff Electronics Engineer – Communications Field Liaison to join a multidisciplinary IPT and support field repairs/modifications of LOS/BLOS comms systems. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of related engineering experience, OR a Master’s degree with 10 years, OR a PhD with 9 years.
• Strong understanding of RF signal chains and system-level integration of communication components.
• Experience in Communications system integration
• Experience with modulation/demodulation and coding techniques as related to communications systems
• Experience with RF and Network based test equipment to include oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and power meters
• Proficient in understanding and following technical manuals and repair manuals.
• The candidate must have a deep and diverse background in aviation communication systems and sub-systems.
• Willing to support a dynamic work schedule, travel to potentially remote locations, and respond to short notice.
• Proficiency preparing and validating field analysis reports and hazard analyses/mitigations
• Experience with military specs and standards
• Must have an active US Government Top-Secret Clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
• Ability to obtain and maintain US Government SCI clearance
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance in a timely manner

Responsabilités

• Hands-on work with LOS and BLOS communication systems, including modems and AESA antennas.
• Report subsystem status to leadership and identify risks to prevent cost/schedule impact.
• Manage field communication issues and coordinate with stakeholders from identification to closure.
• Serve as Field Liaison Communication Engineer between operations, engineering, and customer teams.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, configuration records, and test reports.
• Update interface control, change requests, and risk mitigation activities with stakeholders.
• Provide training and operational support to field personnel and customers.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to determine effective technical solutions.
• Participate in engineering working groups to represent design intent and sustainment priorities
