EVgo seeks a Staff Electrical Engineer to lead hardware design for charging systems. You will own controller PCB development, document interfaces, and manage components and wiring diagrams with version control.

You will validate prototyped hardware, work with suppliers, and participate in design reviews with global partners. Mentoring and cross‑functional collaboration are key parts of the role.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years of experience; or equivalent experience
• Strong hardware design experience across analog, digital, and mixed-signal interfaces
• Experience with EV charging hardware, power cabinets, and wire harnesses preferred

Responsabilités

• Own hardware design and lead development of major controller and related PCB designs
• Validate prototype hardware through characterization and debugging
• Collaborate with systems, software, and firmware teams on requirements and DFMEA
• Mentor engineers on design practices and knowledge sharing
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
