Job summary

General Motors LLC seeks a Staff Hardware Engineer to provide technical leadership for ECU hardware requirements and CTRS specifications across GM's vehicle portfolio. You will lead complex projects, align hardware, software, and vehicle architecture teams, and shape requirements through rigorous analysis.

You will mentor engineers, drive build-to-print strategies, and promote reuse of components while supporting DOORS Next-Gen and other tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• 7+ years' experience in product development, requirements, or embedded controls.
• Experience leading complex programs and influencing outcomes without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and management of ECU hardware requirements and CTRS across GM's vehicle portfolio.
• Establish alignment across hardware, software, and vehicle architecture stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers and drive design reviews, change control, and technical approvals.
