Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Senior SoC Hardware Engineer to lead evaluation and integration of state-of-the-art SoC solutions for automotive platforms. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of hardware design and development with system-level ownership.
  • Knowledge of SoC subsystems, IP blocks, memory, analog, processors, interconnects, peripherals.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth technical evaluations and trade-off studies on SoCs and semiconductors for automotive applications.
  • Design and manage schematics around SoCs for ECU development with high performance and cost effectiveness.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to define design specs and align on architectural requirements.
  • Develop robust component specifications to enable timely sourcing decisions.
  • Establish and execute test plans for SoCs and silicon devices including board bring-up and early validation.
  • Stay current with semiconductor product portfolios and technology roadmaps.
  • Provide mentorship to semiconductor engineering teams through design cycles and sourcing activities.
