Job summary
Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Staff Systems Architect (Environmental Control Systems) to lead ECS design, trade studies, and verification for air vehicles. You will work within a large multidisciplinary team, guiding system tests, simulations, and integration with avionics hardware to meet strict performance and airworthiness criteria.
The role requires advanced degrees or extensive experience in STEM, active US Secret clearance, and up to 25% travel.
Qualifications
- BS in STEM with 12+ years experience; or MS with 10+ years; or PhD with 8+ years.
- Experience leading thermal fluid architecture for ECS of air vehicles.
- Experience analyzing hybrid power and thermal systems and controls.
- Active US Government Secret clearance; ability to obtain SAP/SAR.
Responsibilities
- Lead thermal fluid architecture development for ECS of air vehicles.
- Perform subsystem analysis, trade studies, and design layouts.
- Lead system test planning, verification, and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional teams on hardware development.
- Ensure airworthiness criteria are met and interfaces defined.
