Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems, Research & Advanced Design, is seeking a Staff Systems Architect (Environmental Control Systems) for our El Segundo, CA team. The role covers design, trade studies, test/verification, and troubleshooting of ECS for advanced air vehicles.

Responsibilities include system-level analysis, interface definition, and coordinating with suppliers. On-site work is required with up to 25% travel and eligibility for a secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a related STEM discipline or higher with extensive relevant experience.
• Experience leading thermal fluid architecture development for air vehicle environmental control subsystems.
• Active US Government Secret clearance or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a large multi-disciplinary team of subsystem design engineers.
• Perform system and component analysis of complex fluid thermal systems and verify requirements.
• Develop ECS architectures and aid in control logic development.
• Lead system-level test planning, execution, and troubleshooting.
