Job summary

Northrop Grumman in McClellan, CA is seeking a Staff Digital Engineer to lead research, design, and development for digital FPGA designs and multi-function software defined radios.

You will test designs on evaluation boards, collaborate with Systems Engineering to meet system requirements, and may lead a team of Digital VHDL Engineers. Requires BS/MS/PhD in STEM with extensive related experience and US citizenship for security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM and 12+ years of related experience, or Master’s with 10+ years, or PhD with 8+ years.
• US citizenship required to meet security clearance
• Experience with FPGA design and verification using VHDL/Verilog and EDA tools

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and development for digital FPGA designs and multi-function software defined radios
• Test designs with evaluation boards
• Support implementation of digital FPGA hardware architecture and algorithms
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering to ensure firmware meets system level requirements
• Review designs and analysis
• May lead a team of Digital VHDL Engineers
