Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks a Senior Principal Digital Engineer based in McClellan, CA to lead digital design efforts for software defined radios, including FPGA implementation and verification. You will collaborate with systems engineering to ensure requirements are met and may lead a team of digital engineers.

Requirements include a STEM degree with extensive experience (8+ years for Bachelors, or more with higher degrees), U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 8+ years experience, or Master’s with 6+ years, or PhD with 4+ years.
• U.S. Citizen to meet clearance requirements; ability to obtain Secret Clearance.
• FPGA design experience with VHDL or Verilog; experience with AMD/Xilinx 7 family or Versal devices.
• Experience with EDA tools such as Vivado and QuestaSim; board or system level debugging.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and development for digital designs for multi-function software defined radios.
• Test proposed designs on evaluation boards.
• Support digital FPGA hardware architecture and algorithm implementations.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering to meet system-level requirements.
• Review designs and analysis; may lead a team of Digital VHDL Engineers.
