Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 8 years related experience, or Master’s with 6 years, or PhD with 4 years.
• US Citizen and able to obtain Secret Clearance.
• FPGA design experience with VHDL or Verilog.
• Experience with AMD/Xilinx 7-series/Versal devices.
• Experience with EDA tools Vivado, QuestaSim.
• Board or system level debugging with test equipment.
• Generation of Test Benches.

The Northrop Grumman Northern California campus our Advanced Digital Design organization creates the next generation of communications and signal processing systems and will take ideas from concept to working systems aboard the world’s most advanced platforms. We seek degreed electrical or computer engineering engineers with hands-on experience in FPGA Design and Verification with VHDL.

We are looking for you to join our team as a Sr. Principal Digital Engineer based in McClellan, CA.

Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principle Digital Engineer

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of related experience, or a master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of related experience, or PhD in a STEM discipline with 4 years of experience
• Must be a US Citizen in order to meet the security clearance requirement
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
• FPGA design experience with VHDL or Verilog
• Experience with AMD/Xilinx 7 (Zynq, Kintex and Ultrascale) or Versal family of devices
• Experience with Electronic Design Automation (EDA) Tools such as Vivado and QuestaSim
• Experience with board or system level debug using test equipment and internal hardware analyzers
• Generation of Test Benches

Preferred Qualifications for Sr. Principle Digital Engineer

• Experience with VHDL
• Knowledgeable in FPGA physical constraints and achieving timing closure
• Experience with DSP and MATLAB
• Support of formal VHDL Verification
• Active/Current Secret Clearance or higher level

Primary Level Salary Range: $156,400.00 - $234,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
