Job summary

NinjaOne seeks a Staff DevOps Engineer to own the last mile of software delivery, designing and improving release pipelines, infrastructure as code, and deployment automation in a multi-cloud environment (AWS now, Azure/GCP as we grow). The role blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution.

You’ll set standards, mentor engineers, and collaborate across Development, QA, Security, and IT to keep releases fast, secure, and reliable.

Qualifications

• 10+ years cloud DevOps experience with release engineering focus.
• Proven multi-cloud production experience in AWS and Azure/GCP.
• 4+ years hands-on Terraform with modules, remote state, and CI/CD integration.
• Deep CD experience with automated rollout and rollback strategies.
• Enterprise-scale Terraform architecture: remote state, module registries, governance.
• Real multi-cloud IaC architecture experience in production.
• Terraform ecosystem tooling: Terragrunt, Terraform Cloud/Enterprise, Atlantis, Sentinel/OPA, Checkov.
• Track record accelerating IaC adoption across orgs.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Git, Bitbucket; Agile tooling.
• Kubernetes/ECS experience; Helm/Kustomize; cluster provisioning via Terraform is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the CD/Release Pipeline from artifact promotion to production.
• Lead Terraform/IaC strategy and architecture across teams.
• Implement policy-as-code and automated compliance into pipelines.
• Drive org-wide adoption of the new Terraform framework.
• Design cross-cloud infrastructure deployment in AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Monitor deployment pipelines, release health, and infra alerts; handle incident response.
• Mentor engineers on release engineering and IaC best practices.
• Collaborate with Dev, QA, Security, IT to keep releases fast and secure.
• Perform other duties as needed.
