Job summary

NinjaOne in the United States is seeking a Staff DevOps Engineer to own the end-to-end release pipeline, from commit to production, with a focus on CI/CD, deployment automation, and IaC.

You will architect and enforce a cloud-agnostic Terraform-based foundation across AWS and future Azure/GCP deployments, mentor teams, and partner with Development, QA, Security, and IT to keep releases fast, secure, and resilient. Hybrid/remote within the USA.

Qualifications

• 10+ years cloud DevOps experience, with strong release engineering and IaC focus.
• Multi-cloud production experience — AWS plus Azure and/or GCP.
• 4+ years hands-on Terraform — modules, remote state, workspaces, and safe plan/apply.
• Deep CD experience with automated rollout and rollback in production.
• Proven enterprise-scale Terraform architecture and governance experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the CD/Release Pipeline: design, build, and continuously improve delivery pipelines — from artifact promotion through progressive rollout to production.
• Lead Terraform/IaC Strategy & Architecture: module design, remote state management, workspace strategy, versioning, RBAC, and secrets management.
• Establish Governance & Guardrails: policy-as-code and automated compliance/cost scanning in the Terraform pipeline.
• Drive Org-Wide Adoption: migrate teams to the new Terraform architecture with templates and training.
• Drive Cross-Cloud Infrastructure Delivery: build secure infra in AWS and extend to Azure/GCP.
• Monitor, Support, and Respond: monitor pipelines, incident response, and remediation decisions.
• Mentor the Team: coach engineers on release engineering and IaC code quality.
