Job summary

Hubstaff is hiring a Staff DevOps Engineer to shape the future of our cloud platform. This fully remote role collaborates with CTO, architects, and engineering teams to improve reliability, security, and scalability across our global SaaS platform.

You’ll design and operate scalable AWS/GCP infrastructure, automate everything, and empower developers with self-service tooling. Bring expertise in Terraform, Kubernetes (EKS), GitOps, and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Experience operating production cloud infrastructure at scale (AWS, GCP).
• Expert in Terraform, Kubernetes (EKS), Docker, Helm, and GitOps.
• Proven CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of monitoring/observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, CloudWatch.
• Strong networking, IAM, encryption, disaster recovery, and cloud security.
• Proficient with Ruby on Rails, Go, Rust, or Node.js backends.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP.
• Advance Kubernetes, Linux, and cloud networking environments.
• Standardize infrastructure with Terraform, Terragrunt, Helm, GitOps.
• Improve CI/CD with GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
• Implement monitoring and observability (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, CloudWatch).
• Strengthen security, disaster recovery, and platform resilience.
• Drive platform strategy while implementing; stay hands-on.
• Improve developer productivity through automation and self-service infra.
