Job summary

Peak Resources, a nine-location NC senior care company, seeks a qualified Full Time Staff Development Coordinator, RN at our Shelby facility near Grover. Join a team dedicated to resident well-being with excellent health, dental, vision, life insurance, PTO and a 401(k) plan.

Role focuses on advancing staff education, infection control oversight, and regulatory compliance. Typical schedule is Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm, with additional hours for training as needed.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in NC
• BLS CPR certification required
• Experience with infection control policies and practices
• Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
• Proficient with computers and office software
• Ability to multi-task in a healthcare setting
• Must pass background check and meet facility standards

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with staff credentialing and education regulations.
• Provide ongoing professional development for facility staff.
• Serve as Infection Preventionist for the facility.
• Oversee infection control and antibiotic stewardship programs.
• Occasional days, evenings, nights and weekends as needed for training.

We are currently seeking a qualified Full Time Staff Development Coordinator, RN to join our team at Peak Resources Shelby. Our beautiful brand new facility is located just off of I-85 in Grover, NC. Come join our team!

Typical Work Schedule is: Monday- Friday 8am-4:30pm.

Role Responsibilities

Ensures facility is in compliance with regulatory requirements relating to staff credentialing and education. Provides services associated with the ongoing professional development of staff at the facility. Serves as the facility Infection Preventionist. Oversees the infection control programs and antibiotic stewardship programs. This position requires availability to work days, evenings, nights and week-ends as needed for training, etc.

Requirements

Required Skills, Education, Licensure, and/or Certifications

• Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a RN in this State
• BLS CPR Certification (includes in-person demonstration and skills assessment)
• Trained / experienced in infection control policies and practices Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace

Preferred Experience

• One to three (1-3) years experience in health care including teaching, training and development.
• One to three (1-3) years experience Nursing supervisory experience in a hospital or nursing facility.
