Job summary

Elba Rehabilitation and Wellness Center in Elba, AL, is seeking a Staff Development Coordinator to lead training and educational initiatives for our clinical team. You will develop comprehensive training to elevate patient care and outcomes, partnering with clinical leaders to ensure programs meet needs.

The role includes overseeing onboarding, maintaining training records, and supporting quality improvement projects. Active RN or LPN license and BLS are required; LTC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license in the applicable state.
• Current BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• 1 year LTC staff development or nursing education experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive staff training programs to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
• Conduct needs assessments, identify gaps in training, and create customized training solutions.
• Collaborate with clinical leaders to design and deliver targeted educational programs.
• Facilitate onboarding and orientation processes for new staff members.
• Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing constructive feedback and coaching.
• Maintain accurate records of staff training and development activities.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of center policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Level of Education: Current, active, and unrestricted RN or LPN license issued by the applicable state board of nursing.
• Current BLS for healthcare providers certification
